Alpine Coaster Experience
An enjoyable hike for families and groups, with an optional descent on Switzerland’s longest alpine coaster.
Route
Two appealing options are available for this scenic loop hike to Pradaschier with a subsequent alpine coaster descent:
Option 1: Brambrüesch – Pradaschier
The starting point is the mountain station of the Bergbahnen Chur–Dreibündenstein. This easy high-level hike leads through forest sections and across the Malixer Alp to Galti Alp. From there, the upper trail continues with fine views before a pleasant descent to the Pradaschier mountain station.
Alternatively, the route can be taken via the Dreibündenstein, which involves more elevation gain and a longer hiking time.
Option 2: Feldis – Pradaschier
Take the aerial cableway from Rhäzüns to Feldis. From Feldis, the hike follows a beautiful high-level trail via Windegga to Pradaschier.
Destination: Pradaschier
Both options finish at the Pradaschier mountain station. A cosy mountain restaurant with a sun terrace invites you to stop for refreshments before the fast-paced finale: the descent on one of the world’s longest alpine coasters promises an unforgettable highlight. From Churwalden, the PostBus takes guests back to Chur in around 30 minutes.
For Option 2, the return journey to Rhäzüns is from Chur by city bus or the Rhaetian Railway.
